Come and check out the major refurbishment of the gym floor at The Forum University.
The $600,000 redevelopment includes an improved gym floor layout with new strength equipment including plate loaded machines, additional treadmills, cross trainers and upright bikes, and new functional training equipment including an eight station matrix system.
Consideration was given to increasing energy efficiency with the refurbishment. To help minimise our footprint we;
• installed energy efficient lighting that will provide a saving of 35% in energy consumption.
• installed a daylight sensor that will automatically cut out up to 45% of the gym lighting ustilising
natural light during the day.
A complete change in the interior design of the gym has resulted in a sleek industrial look that is contemporary and visually stimulating.
NUsport CEO, Chris Hicks, said the latest refurbishment was part of The Forum’s commitment to providing University students, staff and alumni as well as the wider community with first class facilities.
“The Forum is one of the region’s largest health and fitness facilities and we pride ourselves on making sure our product is of the highest standard.”
“We work with members and our equipment suppliers to provide a facility that meets changing needs in line with industry trends. The refurbishment includes upgraded equipment and technology, designed to improve the long-term health and wellbeing of members and guests,”
Mr Hicks said.
The refurbishment was completed in just nine days between Saturday 6 July and Sunday 14 July. It includes the extension of the existing strength training zone to over 500 square metres, upgraded 51 piece cardio room with new 60” LED LCD televisions and a complete refit of the gymnasium flooring.
